So I go to 2 ommunity colleges in the same district and was wondering if I need to get IGETC certified in both schools or just one.

Just one, no need to worry. As long as one of them gives you an IGETC certification, then you are fine.

Dropout is correct, but the school who is issuing the certification will need official transcripts from the other school. That’s assuming that both schools have courses used to fulfill IGETC requirements.

So I’d have to spend more money getting transcripts?! T_T

Yes. I don’t know what classes you take it which schools, but how could School A give you an IGETC certification if for example you took your math class at School B? Just be glad it’s only two schools, I have to get transcripts from five.

Yikes
I’ll just have to ask my schools

@Hmkufan5 Since both of the schools you attended are in the same district, they will probably have all the classes you took at from both colleges under one transcript. I am pretty sure this is the case, especially at the LA community college district. If this is not the case, then you still have nothing to worry, under California law, you get two free transcripts from the college.

LACC are under the same umbrella. You can get 2 free transcripts from each school, however, they will not be rushes. West LA CC took FOREVER to send in a non-rush transcript to UCLA. You just need 1 certificate, that is all, even if you went to 2 different district, like myself, went to LACC and went to VCC. I spoke to a counselor at LAMC, she stated, you just need 1, you do not need to get 1 from Moorpark.

I’m within LACCD
actually I have to pay for my transcripts now since I already used up my free transcript requests
Emergency transcripts here I come
and good luck 2016Candles!
Luckily I’ll just go ask my schools what to do
Thanks everybody!
