On behalf of UCLA, we are pleased to offer you admission to the collaborative between UCLA and UC Mercedthe UC Merced Shared Experience Program. Shared Experience provides you the opportunity to pursue your University of California degree on the UC Merced campus, with the option to transfer to UCLA, after two years and upon completion of the terms of the contract sent to you in the mail. You also will have the opportunity to remain at UC Merced for degree completion, should you prefer to do that.</p>
<p>UC Merced has gained a reputation as a friendly, personalized, and academically stimulating environment for its undergraduates. Campus housing is guaranteed to all freshmen, as well as access to new facilities, caring faculty and staff, research experiences, support services, and a wide array of student activities. Please submit your positive "Statement of Intent to Register" (SIR) for fall 2008 directly to UC Merced at <a href="http://ucse.ucmerced.edu%5B/url%5D">http://ucse.ucmerced.edu</a> and fax or mail to UC Merced a signed copy of the "Provisional Admission Contract" that was sent to you in the mail.</p>
