UCLA and UCB CHANCES OOS

Great ecs focused on golf, music, and volunteering(First Tee, LPGA International Crown Standard Bearer, Mentoring through First Tee, mentoring low privileged kids) Captain of varsity, class vp multiple years, etc
Job working 20 hours of week since freshman year with proof of employment
400+ hours volunteering
Tough life; had to work to help my single mom
State golfer and state bassoon player multiple years

<p>You have a good chance at both schools. Are you able to pay the $55K/year price tag for these schools? You will get little to no financial aid as an OOS student and it looks like from you post, you will require some FA. </p>

<p>Yeah the biggest obstacle for me will be the price, but I have been applying for several(over 15) scholarships to offset the price a little. This is the only way I will be able to finance my education</p>

<p>I wish you good luck but you do realize that to make up the gap, you are only able to take out $5500 freshman year in loans and the rest will be up to your Mom or those scholarships? Even if UCLA/UCB gives you some financial aid, they will not cover the $23K OOS tuition.</p>
