Hello, I’m an international student and I submitted my application. We are in May now and I still haven’t received any notification. Did any of you received an answer yet?
I have also not received an answer yet. I emailed them 2 weeks ago and they told me I should know in “a week or so.” A week and a half passed and I didn’t hear anything so I asked them 5 days ago if there was any update and they said decisions have been delayed because UCLA switched to a new system.
Oh my goodness. It’s a relief to hear someone other than me hasn’t heard a reply yet. I got a response about the “new system” when I emailed them too 7 days ago.
So I called the TFT department yesterday to know what’s going on and they say that they are still not done with all the applications, mine included. I told the person that I’m an international student and I need to know if I’m accepted of not already because another school is pressuring me to accept the enrollment, and getting the visa takes time. She said that they would contact the animation department about the applications because we can’t keep waiting for much longer, they said they would email me if they have any news.
@Valartanimation This wait is getting pretty absurd, I’ll make sure to mention when they say anything to me so others can have some idea when they can expect something. Hopefully they tell you something positive.
@Valartanimation I agree this wait is getting ridiculous at this point. I still haven’t heard back.
Did they email you with any information?
I emailed them again and they said there is still a delay. They said “Animation usually takes a bit longer to look over everyone’s applications, but hopefully you can expect a response within the next two weeks” TWO WEEKS. This is going to drive me crazy…crazier.
That’s some real bs. Do they have like one person looking through every application?
@Humamon @Flaherty I still haven’t received anything, hopefully I will see something on Monday, if not I will call again. I think I remember they mentioned that they review each application at a time or something like that.

I got another response saying to expect a decision within the next week. Seems nice but I remember 3 weeks ago they told me it would be “in a week or so,” so I won’t hold my breath.
@Flaherty I’m not holding my breath either. But having a countdown to finding out is making me nervous.
According to thegradcafe website someone got a rejection on the 17th, so hopefully that means we will actually hear something soon.

Email 6 days ago saying I should receive a decision “within the next week,” but haven’t heard anything yet unfortunately.
@Flaherty I got that same email. So I guess we’ll see by Friday at the latest. Fingers crossed
My goodness they are really waiting until the last minute. If they don’t let me know by the end of today I will email them again. Any news for you guys?
