<p>Hello, everyone. I'm currently an anthropology major at a cc anxiously waiting to see which UC schools admit me. I have a 3.4gpa, I will be IGETC certified, as well as Honors/TAP certified for ucla. I applied to ucla as an anthropology (BS) major. I completed 2/3 anthro classes needed for my major(for some reason, there was only one class for linguistics). I know this hurts my chance of admission for ucla but nonetheless, do I still have a chance?</p>

<p>Last year for your major 95 people applied, 15 got in. Average GPA admitted was 3.65, but you have TAP, so I would say you still have a decent chance. The average gpa of those who applied was 3.22 btw. </p>

<p>Required: Anthropology 7, 8, 9, and 33.</p>
<p>I think its cultural, biological, archaeology, and the last one is some course that is only offered there. My school doesn’t offer it so they said I didn’t have to take it.</p>

<p>Well nevermind I guess it really doesn’t matter. If I complete the pre reqs here at UCSB, which includes physical anthropology, then through UC Reciprocity I should be good for the other UCs.</p>
<p>Are you applying as an anthropology major too? Yeah biological is the same as physical. I am transferring from UCR, I contacted them and they said my Linguistics course isn’t equivalent to their anthro 33 course so I will have to take it there.</p>

<p>BS or BA? BS has tons of pre-reqs. What’s your alt major and how many pre-reqs did u complete?</p>
<p>BS. so far i’ve completed a year of bio, a year of gen chem, a year of calc, as well as physical (biological) and cultural anthropology.</p>

<p>I applied as an Anthro major and so far got accepted to UCSD! I’m still waiting for UCLA and Cal. The wait time is completely annoying lol What is your GPA Orgasmic?</p>
<p>Did you guys have to finish any of the gen eds or the writing courses before applying as transfer?</p>
<p>And does that mean it is harder to get in with an anthro in bs then in ba?</p>
