UCLA: Anyone applying for parking?

<p>I just wanted to know if anyone is going to be applying for parking and if you know if it's worth it or not.</p>

<p>I heard that parking is 1)Expensive and 2)Hard to get, since it's based on a need-point system or whatever.</p>

<p>I'll be residing on-campus, but I'd like to have my car with me as well. I can't stand the idea of not having my car and not being able to drive wherever I please.. and being forced to take the bus.. hah. </p>

<p>Also, I'm probably going to have to work as well, so I need parking!</p>

<p>living on campus deducts major points, but the fact that you have an off campus job might boost you. however you might need to verify your off campus work.</p>

<p>Where do you apply for this parking and is it campus-wide access, or just certain areas (dorms, etc)?</p>

<p>it is not campus wide. it depends on how many pts you have.</p>

<p>on the housing application it asked for parking information. Does anyone know if that was the parking application or if we need to fill out the one on the parking website?</p>
