40% off $50 is not too much. Considering that the main reason for the purchase is for the name, just like for any other name brands out there, it's pretty cheap.

I personally haven't seen anything that's really nice and wasn't BearWear. In fact, a lot of the stuff sold at the UCLA Store isn't that great, in my opinion.

For the record, one thing that UCLA does better than Cal is school-related products. The shirt selection at UCLA is much greater than at Berkeley, although there are still a few great shirts and sweatshirts.

look at the manufacture of any gear u got rite now... thats the name of the store...

its in a group of outlets but i really dont know where... theres only a few of those anyway... it's the one thats in a ring, the whole thing is under one roof, like a one story mall... the store is around to the huge fake tree... if anyone been there they'd know the place... not sure but the name might starts w/ a vowel

bball and football tickets come in packages that you can buy from the athletics page (plus you get a "den" shirt)

some games have individual tickets for sale, but if it is a marginally good game, it is really hard to get tickets. if you plan on going to alot of the games or at least want to go to the good ones, buy a sports package.

i am not sure when freshman should buy them.. returning students were sent a re-order form a month or so ago. check the UCLA Athletics website, they should explain everything there (including prices, what games are included, etc.)

i have an nyu sweatshirt that i love, and i am having a really hard time parting with it

would it be wrong of me to wear that on campus? .hmm... or just in my room then...

No we're usually cool about wearing apparel of other universities around here. One of my ultimate frisbee teammates wore a UC Irvine sweatshirt the day we played them in a tournament. One of my roommates favorite articles of clothing is his UNC Tarheels hat. It's cool to wear around other universities' apparel around as long as you aren't wearing it to any UCLA sporting events or something like that.

There's only one exception to that rule: USC. It is never acceptable to wear anything USC around here as a UCLA student, and doing so will probably have you taking that shirt off/taunted/beaten up/maimed by a large bear.

do u guys know how bball tickets and football tickets go? r they by season, games, etc.??

You can buy season ticket packages for both football and basketball. You have to get the football season ticket package to have a shot at basketball, and then there is a lottery after that I believe for basketball tickets. You can also buy individual game tickets (basketball tickets on gameday only). There are always individual game tickets available, how quickly they will go depends on who we play. Football games almost never sell out, except for SC (the Rose Bowl is a giant stadium), and basketball rarely fully sells out either, though the student section is usually pretty full and it may be harder to get tickets after our great season.
