My decision went online last night! Rejected again! Haha, oh well, it made my decision easier on which college to choose~ : ) I would have had to make a difficult decision if I ended up getting in!

Did you get an e-mail telling you that your status had been updated? Or did you randomly check, haha. Also -- when did you submit?

i also want to know when u sent it and whether or not u got an email! :D

oh BTW.. what time of the day did u check?? do they change it at 12 noon?? or until their offices close?? thanks :D

I was admitted to the merced-ucla shared program, and I decided to appeal to UCLA, let's say i don't get a decision from ucla until after May 1st, and then I find out i get rejected.. will i still have the option to do the merced-ucla shared program?

i've been thinking...you know that if you're a fighter pilot and you are spiraling out of control, the last thing you hear before you hit the ground is a really annoying female voice going "pull up...pull up...pull up...beeeeepppp... eject...eject...eject". i figure if you are still strapped to a fireball falling out of the sky at 600 miles per hour, wouldn't you think of ejecting all by yourself?

i do believe calitennisgirl55 finally stopped her fairy tale. it was funny how insistent she was no matter how stupid the story was becoming

888888888 why wouldnt you still have that option? i thought the sir was nonbinding so just dont be stupid and bank on something where the odds are clearly against you

Nope, I got no email, I just randomly checked! And I sent my appeal on April 8th.

could anyone please up the URL link to the online status page?

I'm having trouble finding it on the UCLA site :( thanks!!

wow. mine still says under review or whatever... and i sent mine in 4-5 weeks ago. i thought they said that they would respond within 3 weeks... :/...

I feel your pain. I sent my appeal 2 days after the first decision came out. That was 5 weeks ago. It'll be 6 weeks this week. Argh! I want to know already!

Sent mine on 4/7---website still says "in review".

Countdown...........oh boy!

i would look on not getting a decision yet as a good thing...one of my friend got a rejection 1 week later...i think they are waiting until after may 1st to see how many enroll...then if there are spots avail they will let in how ever many got accepted

iono.. I like ur logic cuz i appealed and haven't gotten my decision.. But it seems like no one has gotten their decisions back from UCLA. I just think that they are slow or they are gonna reveal all the decisions on one day. Had a lot of people gotten it back, and only a few not received it, your logic would ring true :(

I've heard of only two cases that have heard back -- then again, there's only a small number of people appealing.

Is the SIR really nonbinding? Just wanted some clarification on that, because on the UCSD website the SIR reads that "I may accept admission to only one campus of the University of California; returning more than one offer may jeopardize my enrollment opportunities."

If I decide to submit my SIR for UCSD and IF my appeal for UCLA actually went through, does that mean that I won't be able to enroll in any of the two schools? I'm a little confused here :/

you can back out of it, you just cant submit 2 at the same time.

can i submit two because im not sure if im getting a D or C in my calc 3 class...and if i do.. ucla might rescind (althought i've heard stories of people getting D's and not being rescinded) but i think ucsd would be more lenient on this type of thing

i sorta want to have a backup...my parents don't mind paying the 100 dollars

you can't submit two. if you're doing it "just to be safe" then keep in mind that if either school finds out you've SIRed twice, you'll be rescinded and then you're up a creek without a paddle.

don't do it.

I called the UCLA undergrad office today. The admissions lady informed me that the appeals committee is behind on reading appeals, she said they just started recently. she also said I will not receive my decision before May 1st even though they received my appeal on April 7th, and it's been three weeks already. has anyone here been accepted or know of anyone accepted on appeal?
