does anyone know if theres a word limit to appeal letters sent to UCLA??? or any other UC for that matter

anyone???

peppamintt what major were you?
im planning on appealing also =/
im going to ask for help at my transfer center this coming monday and live there for about a week lol

mashiimoro, i hate to be a dik, but don’t waste your time. you can’t submit them a new portfolio, or raise your gpa in a few weeks. you have to come up with something that either you neglected to mention with your essays, or something that has happened recently that would make them reconsider.

nproamr… dont discourage people to apply. there’s no harm in appealing. were u accepted? if u are then its great, if not then u should appeal too. there’s no harm than good to it.

mashiimaro… im business econ. what about u??
my appeal is coming to 2 pages. im wondering if that’s too long =/

well i always believed that its better to try than do nothing
so im gonna still try my best to convince them that I will be a valuable asset to them that will accomplish some great things in the architectural field
I mean im f’in passionate about this so I just wanted to get some feedback on how i should approach this appeal process that would benefit me to the fullest

mashiimaro… what are ur stats?

and i feel the same way. i dont wanna give up so easy. my gpa isn’t great andi dont have calc 2 done, but i have a good upward trend. i think. so lets hope i can benefit from it.

i think its generally better to keep it within a page so they dont lose interest
but when i appealed for UCSD, mine was 2 pages too

is it really bad to have 2 pages? the only reason i have that is, there’s a lot of information(personal) that i didn’t mention on my application b/c of lmited space. but those things REALLY affected my stats and everything. it was 4, now its 2 hehe

no harm other than a double rejection!!!

anyways, peppamint what do you plan on saying in order to ‘woo’ them. They already say your upward trend in grades, and if you saw the post of my grades you would know it did not help me.

OH! you guys should call and ask why you weren’t accepted. i heard you can do that. and make a thread when you’re done i’m really interested in what they have to say.

nproamr… i wrote my entire appeal on this forum. so i got some awesome feedback from people on here… so im goin to appeal.

i have a lot of good points to tell them, and im not losing hope when i know i have enough to get myself another shot. dont care about rejection. don’t u know, third times the charm =) rejected from high school, rejected now… lets hope third is my lucky one.

can you post the link? unless you want me to search for it…:(

i did post it. ^^

OH DANG!!! ya i already read that. i also posted on it a bunch of times.

yaa… so idk, people on her give me a bit of hope that i migt have a slight chance. so lets see… im not sayin 90%… im thinkin i have a 1% chance so im takin it =)

peppamint im an arch major =)

i didnt know you could call and ask why they rejected you o_o
but with my stellar stats i dont think i need to =/ 3.0 gpa
i was hoping that my personal statement would convince them that I would be a stronger candidate than the rest but i guess it didnt do the job

i think you have more of a chance than anybody else who has posted their tactics. which may be 1% but who knows.

i bet they didnt even read my application. i heard that for bus econ, if u have one prereq missing, u automatically go into the reject pile, without even reading ur name!! bs.
