UCLA, Berkeley, Cornell; WILL CHANCE BACK! :)

Oh and Cornell and umich. Chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1837022-usc-michigan-etc.html#latest

@jackisawesome
UC Los Angeles - high match/low reach
UC Berkeley - low reach/high reach
UC San Diego - match
UC Davis - match
UC Irvine - match
UC Santa Barbara - match
Cornell University - reach
chance me back?

@Vctory I applied to CAS. Do you think I have a good shot getting into this one given my current stats?

I’d say UCLA and UC berkeley are high reaches you’re uncapped UC GPA is only a 4.15 UCLA’s average is around 4.4. I’d say UCSD is a high match because of your SAT. And UCI and UCSB are matches

OMG I DIDN’T POST MY GPA :open_mouth:

UW: 3.86
W: 4.18

@BucketsUCSC thx for reminding me xD

bump

UC Los Angeles - most likely accept
UC Berkeley - deny (most people don’t get into both_
UC San Diego - accept
UC Davis - accept
UC Irvine - accept
UC Santa Barbara - accept
Boston University - accept
Cornell University - not sure
University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) - accept (most likely, its a bit more difficult for OOS)
University of Wisconsin (Madison) - low match
Ohio State University (Columbus) - don’t know about this school but seems like for sure accept
University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) DID EARLY ACTION - not sure because also harder for OOS (they cap it at like 18% or something)
University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) >>>> already accepted - yay
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (SLO) - accept
Reed College - accept
University of Washington (Seattle) - accept

Awesome grades! and sat score!

Thanks @collegebound200 I am always so self-conscious about my GPA cuz all of my friends have 4.3 to 5.0 GPAs. It honestly means a lot

well your essays would not matter to many uc schools like berkeley, but i believe your stats are a match for all UCs (ECs really dont matter much to UCs, somewhat of a good thing for you since your ECs arent stellar)

Only Cornell seems to be a reach, but it’s a reach for everyone. You are definitely competitive for a majority on your list! Good luck

http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_fr/Frosh_Prof14.htm

UCLA’s average uncapped Weighted GPA is a 4.39 OP has a 4.15 so how would UCLA not be a reach, he has above average SAT scores but they don’t even hit the 75th percentile so with a below average GPA and Only slightly above average SAT Scores how would UCLA be a match. Do your research before speaking off what you think

Berkeley is even higher

*4.18

I think you have a decent shot at the UCs but nothing quite stands out in your ECs so your chances at a private is a little low. As for the UCs, I don’t think UCB and UCLA are out of reach but your personal statements will have to be excellent. UCSD and lower are definitely matches.

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1829428-chances-for-cornell-ed-cas-will-chance-back.html#latest

4.1666 actually at @iamjack but this I well below UCLA’s average

You have a really good chance at the UC’s, especially since you’re in state! Cornell you’ll probably get waitlisted, but you never know. chance back?

on my UCs ^^

idk my school website (zangle) says that my GPA calculation is 4.1818, but still I definitely get what you are saying @BucketsUCSC

@jackisawesome you’re school website lists UC GPA lucky
