I just can't decide between UCLA and Berkeley. Im sure there are many others in the same boat as me.

I made this thread to get some true insight into the social aspects of both campus. Is Berkeley really socially dead as many put it? Are there parties at both campuses? Which of them would you say is more "fun" (cant think of a better word)?

UCLA!!!! Berkeley is full of women who have hairier chests than the guys. do you really expect any real partying (let alone action!) w/ that kinda girl?

i don't go to Berkeley, but many of my friends do and it seems that it's not socially dead...not in the slightest. however, UCLA is generally pretty exciting as well. it really depends on what part of California you like better. i don't know if one campus is really going to be more fun than another, so the "feel" of the campus would be more important.

Yeah, Berkeley isn't nearly as bad as people say it is. The party scene is pretty active (although the parties aren't that stellar), but there are TONS of other things to do off campus. Performances of all varieties, food courts, and any type of shop u can imagine can be found everywhere. The only thing that seems to be dead is Berkeley's crazy political zeal.

Berkeley is not socially dead – that’s UCSD. However, it is true that the girls are pretty beastly looking. There's a lot to do in the town of Berkeley, but it's definitely not for everyone. Lots of protesting, homeless people, and hippies.
