Ucla Biz Econ to Math Econ

I am tentatively transfering to Ucla in Fall of 2009 and am majoring in Business Economics. By the time I transfer, I will have completed two calculus classes to meet the minimum Busines Economics requirement. However, I have been thinking lately that I would rather major in Mathematics/Economics. I would need to take alot of math major preparation classes at Ucla, but I am wondering how I would go about switching majors. I know the Business Econ major is alot more impacted, so I think the fact that I would be moving into a less popular major is a plus. I am just not sure how I would go about. If I can switch? Do I just take the math classes I need and then apply to the major?
