UCLA BizEcon/USC Marshall/NYU Stern/UCBerkeley Haas

Okay, these were the schools I applied to because of their prestige in business. However, I was not admitted to UC Berkeley Haas, but accepted to the rest of them.

I would just like to know, how often do recruiters from Fortune 500 companies come to these schools and does it really matter THAT much to be at Marshall rather than Haas ... or Stern rather than Wharton, or etc.

It seems to me that the huge competition between all those schools amounts to a small margin of difference, but I may be wrong. Does going to Marshall really hinder my education and opportunities in comparison to Sloan or Haas?

Also, UCLA has a bizecon program, and not a large business administration school itself. I'm not much of an economics guy compared to management and administration, but I really like UCLA and its price tag in comparison to Stern or Marshall... Sooooo what should I do?

bump please

I would go to Wharton, no doubt. Then Stern.

i second that ^^^ iF not Wharton then Stern, logic.

I second that ^^^

sry i guess i didnt make it clear. I didn't even apply to wharton, it was just a comparison thing.

I like Stern but the fact is that NYU is one of the most expensive colleges in the U.S.

and Stern is one of the best b-schools in the country

I second that ^^^

well considering that wharton is not an option on the list, i honestly don't know why people are saying to go there.

but in terms of school pick between stern or marshall. it's just a choice of where you would fit better, nyc or cali to go to school.

I second that ^^^

thanks for seconding every opinion! lol

No problemo.

Easy choice--NYU (Stern).

But UCLA is more fun and the weather is much better--(I speak here from first-hand experience). Going to the school's football and basketball games are a blast. I'd say it depends on whether you want to eventually work on the East Coast or the West Coast.

Calcruzer, r u in UCLA's bizecon program?

Cuz I would like to know how that really compares to Marshall or Stern

No, I graduated with an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA years ago. (Operations Mgmt major/Computer Info Systems minor). I already had a double business major (Accounting/Finance) as an undergrad.
