UCLA recently accepted me under business economics major and I was wondering about the job opportunities for this major. I always wanted to major in finance/accounting/business admin. UCLA looks quite appealing to me right now but I'm worried about how I'll fare in the job market after college since I heard that economics majors are too broad. Is it hard to find jobs as an economics major?

I also applied to USC Marshall and UC Berkeley Pre-Haas (still waiting to hear back from them) if anybody can compare UCLA's business econ to those two schools.

IMO Haas is clearly the best of the three and is recruited for more elite jobs and USC is second mostly because of the network (though it’s a CA network).

it depends on what you mean by the business field.
i know some people have come out of UCLA as a biz econ major and got a job as a financial analyst or sorts. but that was a while ago. considering the economy now… i can’t say what the turnout will be.

& it also depends on where you plan to find a job.
like hmom5 said, USC’s got the network, but mostly in CA
the other schools, i’m not sure.
