UCLA business economics

sorry for posting many similar threads but today is may 1st please be kind

now im stuck between UCLA and Cal

yes Cal has a B school but i will be getting an MBA in the future and i was wondering if Cal will really give me that much more options compared to UCLA

im not aiming for wall street, i would be happy working in LA, in fact i would choose to work in LA (maybe SF) even if i graduated from haas (or in other countries, but not sure how u get those positions)

so... im a spring admit with no gurantee to haas

environment is whatever, i give UCLA a few more points

i mean after all UCLA is in LA... i think i would have so much fun there

what do i do? what would YOU do?

Dear Andrew, no one can give you a good advice in this case. You are the one who will make the decision. Com on, if you even can't make the decision yourself, how can you major in Bus? Seriously. Good luck to you and to your decision ^_^

Haas > UCLA Bizecon

thats all i can say, its really up to you

Don't forget you are not automatically admitted to Business Econ at UCLA... you have to apply to get in.. just like Haas.

I don't care what you want to do in business, haas is the answer.

lol, I am a Haas reject. I believe Haas not the only answer, I will go to LA and prove it.

Good for you, that doesn't negate the fact that Haas is better than UCLA biz-econ.

Isn't Haas ranked higher than Wharton for undergraduate business?

^ No. It's Wharton>Sloan>Haas

listen, i got in the penn's huntsman program, for those of you who do not know, it is a joint degree program that includes a degree from wharton and a degree from the college. and i picked UCLA. although i did get more money from ucla. point being, you really dont wanna concentrate on business too soon. econ is the way to go.

Dumbest decision.

^^Agreed. If you had any intention of wanting to do business there's no way to justify turning down wharton.

haas is more subjective. for ucla biz econ, u just need to meet the minimums: 3.5 in major reqs. haas requires a ****load of other work. bizecon is safer imo

I thought the primary score was 3.3?

w/e it is, point in case is that its guaranteed and objective
