@Bakasworld but do you know if the first in state wave has even happened yet? I haven’t heard of a single in state person getting in yet but do you think they’d wait this late to do it?
@iluvpups99 @slpoce10an I remember seeing an old post on this thread stating that some in-state students were accepted off the waitlist and announced their acceptances on twitter. I think I also remember seeing a user post on this thread stating that he or she is an in-state student and got accepted off the wailist. I know for a fact that my first sentence is true, but I do not know if my second sentence is true.
Guys I think every decision released is purely based on the space in every major, because it seems that most of the oos and intl students that got in on CC major in human sciences like history, economics, business etc. (correct me if I’m wrong) Also, bear in mind that some accepted UCLA students may be waitlisted at other schools, so may cancel their SIR and free up some space for us waitlistees. Last year UCLA was about 146 people over their 6400 enrollment target probably because they accepted some waitlisted applicants. Hopefully they’ll do the same this year so we can get a chance to attend.
Next week is the big week, if we don’t get in then we have to move on.

Just got off the waitlist yesterday. I’m OOS and was accepted into the college of letters and science.

After looking through the UCLA Class of 2020 Wailtist, it seems to me that during the second week of May, most people got rejected off the waitlist. It also seems that rarely any in-state folks got in. Sigh guess I should just move on!
I got into Berkeley off the waitlist on Friday but still waiting On ucla

I really wish I could accept UCLA’s offer of admission off the waitlist; however, I don’t think I will be. I hope one of you deserving lovelies gets the spot

i really hope there will be one and we all get in. i know the waiting is brutal and this is our top choice.
I just don’t understand how (virtually) no one instate has been accepted yet. I’m assuming a wave of acceptances and rejections has yet to be released. I feel like we shouldn’t be too discouraged, since practically 0 CA waitlisters have heard back at all yet.
barely any instate students on last year thread got off the waitlist so i think its just hard to tell at this point 
@hiyahiya123 seems nobody has heard anything yet, and we all know engineering is super competitive. im still waiting, hope we can hear something next week.
I’m instate and I got into UC Berkeley last Friday.
UCLA should really hurry up with the instate wave.
