UCLA/Cal or CSULB for Social Work?

Hi there,

I am applying for transfer for fall 2019, and my top options are UC Berkeley, UCLA and CSU Long Beach. (I know it’s still early, but I like to mentally weigh my choices – and I think I could get into these UC’s.) I would like to major in social work and go to graduate school for social work as well. I just don’t know if UC Berkeley or LA are worth it! These universities are much more expensive than CSULB and offer a BA in Social Welfare (Cal) or Sociology (LA) while CSULB offers a BSW (Bachelor’s of Social Work). But they’re also what I’ve considered my “dream schools” for a while. But I want to be smart here.

The UC’s are probably going to have a different environment that I would like, but I don’t know if this is necessary for a career in social work!

Please, could anyone give me advice?
