UCLA > Cal

World's Best Colleges and Universities: Top 200 - US News and World Report

30 University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)

36 University of California, Berkeley
United States

Surely undergrad world rankings dont lie, right???

Yea, sure. Whatever you say.

Of course, you’ve got to be right. USNews is completely reliable, and completely infallible.

continued.

I dunno what you are reading, but you surely are wrong

Cal 21, UCLA 25

[Best Colleges - Education - US News and World Report](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/college/national-freshmen-least-most-likely-return) UCLA has a better retention rate by an insignificant .2%, but in most cases whenever UCLA has a good program, if Cal has a comparable program, Cal has the better program.

Also given that you, OP, are a “Premed4life [sic]”, you should go to UCLA. They have lower medical school acceptance rates (or so I have heard) and they have the largest concentration of premeds of the nation ([The Daily Bruin - Walking a mile in a pre-med’s shoes](http://www.dailybruin.ucla.edu/archives/id/37291/)), so you can go there and remain a premed forever given their higher levels of premed on premed competition will keep you out of medical school.

wow UCLA win! the best UC!

source is wrong. I believe it only factors undergraduate work. This is also stupidly trying to compare US colleges to international colleges, when our systems are entirely different.

USNWR has several other rankings that show Cal is 21, UCLA 25.

I don’t see presidential advisers being picked out of UCLA

anyways, this ranking UCLA is higher

Guys, stop arguing. The rankings say UCLA is better so OBVIOUSLY it is better. Rankings are always right. How dare you question rankings. Shame on you for even thinking about it.

University on the Corner of Lexington Avenue will always be one of small branches of the Berkeley tree.

Sorry to Bruin your day.

Why the hell does US News and World Report never give the props and the respect that UC Berkeley clearly deserves?

Yeah, and UBC is also better than Berkeley. The Times of London is a fine newspaper, but their college rankings are plain awful.

Next year, UCSD > Cal. LoL

We beat UCLA at football, therefore we are better!

I don’t think those rankings are correct. It says that CalTech is ahead of MIT. That cant be right.

actually caltech surpass MIT

wow grammar win!

University of Michigan > UCLA. Ouch.
