I am majoring in biology and wanted to know if it would be better since im applying to really competative school like UCLA, CAL, UCSD, UCI to take the Physics for engineers series (mechanics, magnetics and eletricity and optics) over the Physics for Sciences that has no calculus. I check assist.com which is a website that helps transfer and it says that you could take either. Would it look better if I the engineers series or sciences one. Also does it make a difference, meaning increase my chance of admission if i take one or the other. any input is welcomed.

What’s your GPA? If you’re a 4.0 and took the easier prerequisites, you should be fine. If you’re a 3.2, I hope you’ll have taken the harder courses, and explained that in your personal statement.

Regardless, you should be find at Irvine if you TAG in, and you should be okay at SD if you TAG (IIRC, bio is now impacted at SD, so you’ll need a higher GPA than the minimum).
