I may take a few classes with P/NP. Oh... and I plan on writing a kickass essay :).

I would be pretty shocked if you got in. I’ve seen crazier things happen though, so you might as well give it a shot. Make sure you have 90 quarter units by the spring before you transfer.

Btw, what did you do there at Google? How did you get the job?

Doubt it. I mean, and no offense, what could they possibly need from a poly sci major at a community college? Getting a job at Google is pretty darn exclusive.

I’m willing to bet it wasn’t something major, but enough to get him enthused about working there. Sort of like cleaning the toilets at Harvard, knowing your cleaning the excrement of some of the smartest kids in the country must be very rewarding, I imagine.

Can’t really say exactly what I do, but I work primarily with Book Search. It’s weird how many on this board assumes that what I do is menial. Kinda shows the closed-mindedness of many people on this board (not that there’s anything wrong with the jobs above). And yes, a friend did refer me in.

I know a lot of Poli Sci majors here - many on the policy team.

Anyway, thanks for the responses… I’ll apply and post something if it works out.
