if your GPA is on a 5 pt scale then it looks a little low, otherwise you’re fine. make sure you play up the ECs in your essays, theyre very interesting. ordinarily out of state would hurt you, but right now the UC system is broke so they want more out of state. you definitely have a shot!

Hey, I think your ecs look excellent and you’re academics are slightly above average for ucla, so overall I would give it a match or maybe high match.

You have some great EC’s! Academic stats are great as well, I’d say a high match, maybe a match.

I wouldnt consider my academic stats as great lol

I mistook your weighted GPA as your unweighted, so yeah your GPA is actually on the lower side. But your ACT isn’t too bad, and yours EC’s are pretty impressive. UCLA had the lowest acceptance rate out of all the UC’s for fall 2013. Still think you have a pretty good chance though.

I have the same question but instead i am going for uci. I am going to be a senior now and so far i have a 4.2 in the UC grading scale. I have done community work in a hospital, summer camp for kids, assistant basketball coach for kids,
and i have started my own community service. I am also involved in various clubs and i am even a Vice President/co-founder of one.
For sports i am a varsity volleyball captain. I have join the academic decathlon team.I also have job experience. I have a 1600 in my sat and a 20 in my act. My only concern is that i got a C in my junior year. How will this Affect my admission??

Bump? want a few more opinions? Thanks :)

Your GPA is probably the weakest part (and unfortunately, probably the most important).

Your ACT score is decent, though, and your EC’s are also decent for UCLA.

I put UCLA as a low reach.

Take what I say with a grain of salt though, I am only 16 and a rising senior.

By the way, could you chance me back? I would really appreciate it! ^_^

Thanks, Im still gonna take subject tests… I wanna major in aerospace/physics…however i plan on taking the biology subject test… Does this lower my chances, and if so should i keep my major undeclared?
