I was wondering (like everyone else) what my chances are:

Your test scores are pretty weak, but it looks like you have lots of wonderful research experience which should definitely help. Especially since you did research at UCLA, as long as you write some butt-kicking essays you should have a decent chance. Best of luck!! :)

the good amount of ECs and the college classes that youre taking already should give you the boost you'll need to get in. i got in with scores that were a tad better than yours all-around but i had a ton of ECs just like you did so i'd say slight reach/match. good luck!

True, numbers matter. But in the end, other factors help. The fact that you did research at UCLA is a big plus. Was it for a course? If so, if you did well, it works in your favor.

Sometimes, it is necessary to remember why the SATs are there. They are an attempt (a rather pathetic one) to show how well you will do at the university. But in reality, a 3 hour test simply won't do it.

The UCLA research was just for research, not for a class. But the professor who was there is the professor on the cover of the UCLA section int he UC guide that came out this year. His name is Gekelman. He's a really good professor, he takes time to head this project with High School students to work with a plasma generator and do our own experiemnts. Thanks for the reply
