General Comments: According to Collegeboard information, I actually fall outside of UCLA’s range of student ranks (it says they only accept top 25%), so I am sort of worried that my acceptance letter is a mistake, but I don’t think that happens too often. I’m pretty happy about my decision, good luck to everyone else. If it’s not a mistake, this just goes to show that it’s really not all about grades and working your tail off on things you’re not really interested in. Don’t be afraid to pursue your passion. UCLA has shown me that they’re a university that really tries to understand who you are beyond what’s on a piece of paper. Bravo to them.

[li] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I have no idea, seeing similar applicants from instate get accepted. Maybe UCLA has a bent towards out of state this year, thanks to the budget cuts.[/li][/ul]General Comments: I’m posting this so future OOS applicants can have an idea of what they need to get accepted. Looking through other years of acceptances, all I found was that Cali residents were posting their stats, which didn’t help me. This is to help future students. Everyone who was rejected: you care enough to apply to great schools, you’ll do awesome anywhere you go!
