Dear Naomi:

Congratulations! It is our great pleasure to offer you admission to UCLA for the Fall Quarter 2011. You have been admitted to the UCLA College of Letters and Science with English as your academic major.

You were selected from the largest pool of university candidates in the nation—more than 61,000 applicants. Your academic achievements and personal talents are exceptional, and your intellect and imagination will thrive at UCLA. We want you to join us in the Class of 2015.

The New Bruins website provides access to your next step: your formal acceptance of our admission offer. This site also includes information about important deadlines and your housing application. For your reference, your UCLA Student ID is shown above. Also, please review your Provisional Admission Contract to ensure that you will continue to meet the provisions of our offer of admission.

We invite you to join us at our welcome events for admitted freshmen, including UCLA Bruin Day on Saturday, April 9, when the campus will be open just for you and your guests. At UCLA Bruin Day, you’ll meet fellow admitted freshmen and current students, explore the extraordinary undergraduate programs at department open houses, learn about student support services, and experience the biggest selection of events, arts, recreation, and happenings at any university. To learn more about Bruin Day and our other welcome events (including programs hosted by our professional schools), click on the event link on the menu to the left.

We look forward to seeing you at Bruin Day and our other events for admitted freshmen. For now, enjoy this moment—it is the beginning of one of the most exciting and memorable chapters in your life.
