UCLA Class of 2020 Applicant Discussion

omg i havent gotten it yet

I AM SO ANXIOUS FOR MARCH. IS ANYONE FEELING THE SAME WAY AS I AM?

@vi0linmonster I TOTALLY FEEL YOU

@vi0linmonster sammeee… A bunch of my friends got accepted into their ED and I’m just waiting for March…
I got the confirmation email from UCLA though!

Why is ub asking for a loc and ucla is not???

Just got the confirmation email too! Totally freaking out.

@vi0linmonster SAME HAHA. My best friend just got into UPenn and now I’m getting so anxious. Looking at everyone’s profiles here is scaring me. Is UCLA your first choice?

P.S. Can I presume from your username you’re a fellow violinist?

Anyone go Engineering Undeclared?

I’m going Pre-Psychobiology

Biochem

@stupefy13 yes UCLA is my first choice and you are right, I am a violinist  And I totally feel you! Omg I thought my stats aren’t bad, then I see people’s profiles here and I’m like what if I don’t get in.

Anyone know if physiological science is a popular/impacted major?

@vi0linmonster according to UCLA’s website, if you applied under College of Letters and Science, your major doesn’t matter

I applied for pre cognitive science. Anyone else?

Applied as a Linguistics & Psych major.

@crossovercuber Got rejected from Northwestern ED not more than 6 hours ago :’). I’m pinning my hopes on UCLA as well.

@McKilla99 I’ll I literally just replied to you on the Berkeley discussion

@crossovercuber seems we’re on the same boat lol

ucla is my number one school but a big reach (i’m also out of state). I have a 90.72 average with 3 APs and 2 math honors courses. 1840 SAT (1880 superscore); my sister got accepted to UCLA with about the same SAT as me and a 92 average. ECs: Film Club, CYO Basketball League (co-captain of my team), Hospital and Radiation Clinic Volunteer, National Honor Society. Gained Alumni Recognition/Award from People to People Student Ambassador Programs.

Could anyone offer their opinion on my chances? I don’t think I have much of a chance at all lol but just curious.

@chloehudson98 You’re a California resident, which plays to your advantage right away. Secondly, your involvement in ECs - especially Dance - is Ivy league material. It’ll be very hard for them to reject you. Only possible thing that could be disadvantageous is your ACT score, but that’s only if you applied for Engineering. Good luck! :’)
