This is probably a silly question, but if my D applied as a math major, would her app fall into L&S or the school of engineering? I’m assuming she had the option and chose L&S but now I’m concerned.
Mathematics is Letters and Science. My boyfriend applied as a math major.
Thanks!
Is there any way I can check whether I applied for CS in L&S or CoE&AS?
You can check your application still through the UC site.
Never mind i just checked, it doesn’t say.
The UC app lets you select campuses and major and alternate major (except for Berkeley) to those campuses. My recollection is you don’t also select the college at the campus - the campus does that for you.
: /// goodbye ucla chances (applied for cs lol)
not like i had much of one anyway
ACT 33 IB 40/42, what are my chances at CS purely based on stats?
@voltthorn What classes did you take in IB as sl and hl ?
@helloucla844 Chemistry Economics and Math (HLs - 7s in all of them), Physics, English and Spanish (SLs - 7 in phy, 6s in the other 2)
@voltthorn I think thats really great!! I am in IB too, its so hard. Doing mathematics HL is really important if you want CS. I hope you get in.
In IB, I got a predicted of 41/42. Took Bio HL, Turkish Lit HL(mandatory) and English HL and took Math SL, Visual Arts(the only one I got a 6 :D) and Turkish Social Studies SL
I applied for bio major.

Wait is this a results thread? Why are people suddenly posting stats randomly? Lol
Rt @kibbles
@kibbles In this type of thread people sometimes post their stats before getting results and others after. Comparing stats gives them something to think about while waiting, and the waiting is very difficult. :-S

Essays (rating 1-10, details): 10; One was hands down the best essay I’ve ever written. I wrote about why I wanted to be a doctor, including the loss of my brother just months before applying. I truly wrote from the heart for the first time ever probably. My other essay was about growing up poor, sleeping inside of a closet for a year like Harry Potter, but not because my family hated me, my “bed” (it was legit made out of ply-wood by my dad) just didn’t fit anywhere else in our tiny trailer. I did actually include that bit about Harry Potter to open and close off the essay, I thought it was fun.
