If I didnt receive the engineering likely letter is there still a good chance ill be admitted?
Got waitlisted at UCSD but received Alumni email at UCLA and CHP and UCI… feeling conflicted I know decisions aren’t related to each other but the waitlist makes me terrified for UCLA’s decisions
This likely letter is for Engineering major? I didn’t apply for Engineering, and I didn’t receive this letter, but got
alumni scholarship…anyone got this letter for a different major?
@mochiko this is for the top engineering applicants specifically because it’s essentially an invitation to a special open house. I don’t think UCLA does this for any other majors.
I too got
I have been accepted at UCD, UCI, UCSB, and now UCSD for Cog Sci. Davis, Irvine, and SB all have accepted me into their honors programs as well. Have 4.45 weighted GPA, strong extracurriculars and essays, 31 ACT and 1390 SAT. What do you guys think my chances are for UCLA and UCB based on my statistics and getting into the other UCs? Thanks!!
wait, have they released the results for the alumni scholarship already?
@crazyisgenetic how do you know that you were accepted into the honors program at ucsb?
@crazyisgenetic Did you get an early acceptance to UCI?
@Nimisha99 Yes, I did get early acceptance.
@Jp6250 I was sent an email a few days ago that said I was accepted into the Regents program
@crazyisgenetic oh okay. I was accepted at ucsb at the chancellor’s reception last weekend and they said we wouldn’t find out if we were accepted into the honors program until the 21st (which we were told 99% of us would be). If I don’t get accepted to ucla, that’s where I’ll go. So until next Friday, I’ll just cross my fingers and hope to see an acceptance on the 17th
Guys…can’t believe…got in UC Davis with 1200 SAT and 4.2 UC GPA…I had a 2 on the only AP exam that I gave last year…I am still shaking
That email is the engineering likely letter. Everyone should go to Discover Engineering Day at UCLA. It’s a great experience. I didn’t get the letter for ucla but did get the ucsd likely emails.
I got the engineering likely letter too!
@10s4life Not sure if you’d know, but if someone, like me, applied to the engineering school, but did not receive the email, should they anticipate the worst, or is it just for the top of the admits?
I’m new to this thread. What’s the expected date for UCLA admissions??
@Ramenous 17th March
Is a 4.2 UC GPA good?
I realize I’m asking this question too late, but does anyone know if you need to submit a FAFSA to be considered for Regents? It looks like none of the UC’s received my D’s FAFSA even though we submitted it in Nov. I think it’s because her UC app had her middle name and her FAFSA only had first & last. We will call on Monday when offices open but meanwhile I wonder if this could have effected her Regents chances.
Hey, I received the engineering open house letter but I don’t rlly think I’m a top applicant… does it mean anything?
