UCLA CLASS OF 2021 APPLICANT THREAD

@Ketchup1 , you don’t need a portal pin. Just Google ucla admission portal and put in the info it asks, which is Application number from your uc application, you last name, birthday and city of birth. Your application number if from your uc application…it is not specific to UCLA.

Can someone explain to me how the alumni scholarship works? My daughter applied for it but hasn’t received an e-mail. She was waitlisted today. Sadly. I just read that someone else who was waitlisted received and e-mail. Curious…

Accepted for EE! Super duper stoked!!!

ACCEPTED!
Major: Comparative Literature
SAT: 1420
SAT II: 690 (Lit)

My essays were good I think. I am a Hispanic female. Not great ECs because I am homeschooled, but did invest 30 hours a week into dance. For any non-traditional applicant next year lurking this page, you can do it!

Congrats to those accepted!

Daughter was accepted, engineering undeclared. Proud mom. Was wondering if any women engineering students would be attending the overnight April 8-9? D just saw it on the site.

@tem339 they also take into consideration the essays. For UCLA this is really important for them… and extracurriculars

Got denied for comp sci :frowning: Was expected but now we go the transfer route!!!

Accepted for pre-Math, CIE A Level student in India.

@Gumbymom Yeh…she got a W in economics in CC class, but she didn’t report it because she thought that doing so will be bad and is only important for transfers, and will be useless for the officer in evaluating a freshman’s academic record. She got a W before applying to UCs but then she got another W in English after applying as she was suffering from some major disease…however, she didn’t report that W too…I think UCs still require college transcripts to be sent even if the college courses are reported on high school transcript… Her high school transcript doesn’t show that W as it is only in her college record. Will it be problem? She is taking AP Macroecon in high school now…Answer will be appreciated…
Thanks
