UCLA Class of 2022 - Applicant Thread

@nikkicoco18 The UCs know the tricks people do to get in state. If admitted out of state it is actually next to impossible to establish in state residency. If you are admitted and attend you and your family need to plan on paying the full 60K coa for four years and not bank on getting in state.

@nikkicoco18 A friend of mine moved from WA to CA and work in CA for a whole year (paying CA tax) before they can pay instate tuition for their daughter.

wait, so all of UCLA, UCSD, and UCI are out today?

@jdyounglegend That is the speculation. Only Ucla is officially releasing today “after 5Pm”

@10s4life LMAO, IF ALL 3 SCHOOLS RELEASE TODAY, THIS WILL BE A HISTORICAL DAY. I HONESTLY DON’T THINK I CAN HANDLE THAT MUCH ON A SINGLE DAY

My Application status is Application Received, is this normal? shouldn’t it be Decision Pending?

@zasdasd lol no that doesn’t matter

I am really scare, I haven’t receive any email from UCLA since I got my portal number

@zasdasd not even the general informational ones about campus and stuff? I’ve gotten quite a few but I know they don’t mean anything

@ucplsacceptme so everyone’s result is coming out today?

@zasdasd - I asked my DS if he had his portal information. His response “Uh, what portal?” The downside of being a helicopter parent :))

@zasdasd For Ucla all decisions are released at once

@ucplsacceptme I got those, but I think they sent it to everyone

@zasdasd okay then you’re good! You have nothing to worry about bc they don’t really email applicants aside from those general ones

@10s4life Hello, I am just a bit confused about the decision release process o UCLA. DS’s friend in school already got admitted a while ago. Does UCLA do early notice like Berkeley does? Thanks.

Site unavailable, asking to check later in evening…!

@Dhg712 I got that message too! Dang crashing already??

@Lotus321 This happens every year some kids claim they get in to mess with their classmates. Ucla does not release early acceptances of any kind. Any claims of admission or denial before the general release is categorically false.

It’s very general and even last year was like this.

@Lotus123 Wow, you’re screen name takes me back! LOL
