UCLA Class of 2022 - Applicant Thread

I haven’t got one from any other UC.

@happywaffles I got it with 3.79 UC GPA and 1450 SAT. I think it is more about if there is a special talent you have or if there was a substantial hardship you overcame than it is about being on the fence. Everyone I have seen who received it had one of those two things.

based on prior year timeline, UCLA will send out invites today or tomorrow?

@Laketahoe79 last year it was the 2/4th February… i think they’ll be sent on Monday

or alumni this week/regents next week

Who else is checking their email for regents from the UCs twenty times a day lmao

So out of curiosity… why does the CAL thread have almost twice as many views as this one?

@sandiegodad2017 I think it’s a function of the stress level of the students who see Cal as their top choice.

@vhsdad That’s a good one!

What is regents

USC is way more :((

Unrelated but does anyone know when regents come out for UCSB and Davis?

ok so basically if I got contacted for a supplement, I’m basically out of the running for regents right? since regents comes out monday and my supplement is due on monday

Yeah probably. I do not know why they would need more information if they already knew you were a regents admit.

Who knows, cuz ucla regents doesn’t mean admission

@caleegalee if you are a ucla regents scholar you are admitted

@raffie

If you are invited for Regents interview at Berkeley, you are automatically admitted.
However, when UCLA invites you to apply for its Regents, that does not constitute an offer of admission.

@raffie actually, i believe you get invited to apply in feb. there are people who got invited to apply for regents but didn’t get admitted in march.

@StevenToCollege why would they give you regents, but not admission? What would have to happen for them to do that?

@StevenToCollege While certainly no expert on the subject I can comment based on the numerous CC posts I’ve read. If you are invited to apply for Regents there is a extremely high likelihood of being admitted. I think the exceptions would be poor senior grades, not self reporting properly, etc.
