UCLA Class of 2022 - Applicant Thread

My S rejected

rejected

waitlisted… 1480 sat, international student from canada

Where did you see 5.3% acceptance rate? :open_mouth:

waitlisted. 4.45 weighted, 3.95 uw, 1480 SAT, good ECs, good essays. UCLA was my dream school. ):

Me too. rejected for film and television major

@orionary

I got a 1490 SAT and 4.0 UW with 4.36 UC GPA and rejected

my rank was pretty high too

my essays were awesome too

rejected, 1540 SAT, 4.38 GPA

It is not a 5% acceptance rate. That is the projected class size. The acceptance rate should be around 15% this year. Still be proud for getting in and if you didn’t don’t worry, UCLA is not the end all be all! There are so many fantastic schools just waiting for you to attend.

@10s4life waitlisted. What are the types of things to include in the updated info section? I’ll include classes I’m taking and EC updates, but if some of my grades dropped, should I bother to include them? One grade raised (APHUG), two dropped (honors chem II and apcalc)

Rejected by UCSD and UCLA in one day. UGH I don’t even know how to tell my son that. He was so chill too about going to dinner and a movie to not think about it…crap.
GPA: UC 3.92
SAT: 1290
Received supplementals. Bad hardships. Like really bad. Sad day.

ACCEPTED, Neuroscience, OOS, 35 ACT, 1530 SAT!! CONGRATS GUYS. And for those that didn’t make it… it’ll be okay cuz you guys are all amazing and smart and will go places.

The UCSD pregame turned into the UCLA party for me.

you define the school you go to, not the other way around

I thought I would be sad, but with over 112000 applicants for 6000 spaces I feel a little less bummed knowing that I’m not the only one on the rejection boat

waitlisted! actually really excited about that haha

Accepted
Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology
4.0 UW
34 ACT (superscore), 33 individual
11 APs
In-State

Congrats to everyone who was accepted!

@kt1215 I am not the most familiar with the waitlist process. I would follow the directions provided if you are still interested. If you include grades you should include them all as they would all need to be submitted as part of your final transcript anyways. It is better to give them the full picture as part of the waitlist then wait for acceptance just to have it yanked. I have seen students have acceptances pulled right before orientation due to transcript and test score discrepancies.
