My DD’s financial aid page is there now. I can see all the grants. Wow, UCLA is way more generous than UCB.

@stresseddad

Your son’s stats is very strong. He will get accepted some other good schools.

@ivyforest Where did you access the financial aid?

@richhardry Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately UCLA has gotten to a point that even a 1600 SAT and 4.0 GPA guarantees admission and can no longer be considered a safety for anyone. Any school in the USNWR Top 25 can hardly be considered a safety for most applicants. Good luck with Cal! Remember that the two are not related when it comes to admission.

Accepted for CS. 1430 SAT, 680 Math II, 4.5 GPA. Lots of extracurriculars and good essays( definitely what got me in).

Are you planning to attend? Likely
From OC; upper middle class

Stanford is currently in the process of expanding their arts scene, which involves plucking accomplished musicians annually from the admissions pool (not only music; many of my fellow admits are deeply involved in some other arts form as their “spike”)

@StevenToCollege

yes D got regent

Waitlisted for UCSD, Johns Hopkins, and UCLA. I don’t know how to feel. can someone tell me if they know how many ppl get off the waitlist for these schools?

@DadW2kids Was in in the acceptance letter?

Rejected oos 97 average, 1480 SAT, 32 ACT, ■■■■■■■■ of clubs, sports, extracurriculars, 2 part-time jobs on top of school for 2 years, solid essays. I’m pretty heated rn.

How did you get above a 5.0 gpa?

I’ve been accepted! Unfortunately, I neglected to submit an application for the Alumni Scholarships Program because I did not believe I would receive admission. Is it truly too late to fill out the application?

Did I mention that I got rejected from UCLA today?

Now I’m more determined than ever to get into this school.

Does anyone know if I were to get a part-time job working in one of the UCLA cafeterias as a fry cook would I be able to transfer into computer science?
