UCLA Class of 2024 Appeal Thread

Hello everyone I am new to college confidential and am starting this thread for anyone who is planning to appeal their UCLA decision to discuss. I am planning to appeal my decision but I would like to discuss with others who are doing the same. We can keep track on when decisions are released and possibly offer help in the waiting process. =)

Also if anyone viewing this knows of a similar thread please reply with the link . tried looking for a UCLA class of 2024 appeal thread but I was unable to find one. Thank you =).

Hello! I’m appealing too! Lets make this the main thread :slight_smile:

does anyone know the stats for appeal ?

@clairebunny23:

2019 appeals stats:
Appeals received: 938
Admits: 6

We love a .6% chance of appeal admission!

I am thinking of appealing as well but with my major choice, I’m not sure how it’ll work out. I applied under school of nursing which is EXTREMELY competitive itself with a 2% acceptance rate and a supplemental application when applying. but doesn’t hurt to try right? what major did you guys apply under? good luck!

Does anyone know if you are allowed to include any supplemental documents or letters of recommendations?

Hii from what I know letters of recommendations are not allowed I’m not sure about supplemental documents.

I applied under computer engineering also competitive. The chances are very low but it’s worth a shot who knows what might happen. Good luck!

Some chance is better than no chance :slight_smile:

Hi where do we even submit our appeal because it says online but where?

@Brookedavis21:

Appeals can be submitted online from April 1 through April 15 (5:00 p.m.) There is probably an option on the student portal that will show up on April 1 to allow you submit the appeal.

Does anyone know when they would come to a decision if we were to appeal? is it likely it would be after may 1st?

thank you!!

@woopwoop101 I’ve looked at previous appeal threads and they all say that people started getting decisions around April 30th, which means that you most likely will not be hearing back from them until mid-end of May. They want to see how many out of the people who were actually accepted sir on May 1st. Then they’ll look at their waitlists and then come appeals, which is why we hear back so late.

Does anyone know where to submit the appeal?

I am guessing appeal and waitlist decisions will most likely come out earlier this year due to COVID-19

they might even come out the end of this month

According to last years thread, some people got their appeals denied around this time.
