Hi everyone I am new to this forum. I will be attending UCLA for the fall quarter 09, and I have a few questions. I am double major in psychology and math. My concern is registering for classes. Do we get any priority for registering or are we last when we register. I am concerned because I heard that even the students there have trouble getting into their classes.
Also is there an order for registering such as by units completed? and does our unit count transfer over, I know our grades don't but i am hoping our units do.

transfers are usually last in the pecking order to register unless you have massive amounts of ap units to bring your unit total up. I believe they count your registration order by how many uc units you have. You’ll get classes, just not the popular ones or the ones with the best recommended professors

oh, I don’t know how true that is. I looked at Spring History classes awhile ago, and many were still open. Of course, I was looking at upper-division, and of course history is not as popular a major as psych, but still. We’re not going to be screwed our first quarter. That much.

I heard if you don’t register right away on your registration day you won’t get ANY classes you need…
