UCLA Computer Science too rigorous for me?

Hello guys. I am a prospective computer science major for the fall for UCLA and I am really excited but at the same time extremely scared. I am pretty good at math and physics and am extremely interested in learning more about computer science, but I am scared that I am not smart enough to compete with the other students. Is there any tips before I go out to UCLA. I am hoping to get about a 3.1 to 3.2 and will work extremely hard to do well.

If you are admitted then you most likely are competitive enough! What was your SAT score (that may indicate to me how smart you could be)?

Hey! If you were admitted then you definitely have the potential to do well! I think it all depends on your priorities…are you gonna study instead of party? I have some friends at UCLA and they definitely like the environment because “everyone tries hard” so you don’t feel alone and while it is competitive–you feel like you have to study hard to “fit in.” So I don’t think you’ll have a problem. The worst case, you can switch your major to something you think is “easier” right? But I think if you work hard you definitely shouldn’t have a problem! Talk to computer science majors you know for more clarity.
