<p>dell? not unless they’ve vastly improved their design. and i don’t mean outward design, i mean things like heatflow problems. short horror story, my dell inspiron overheated and cooked 2 harddrives. one was recoverable, the other was not. the whole laptop is sitting in a heap in some closet somewhere now, and i have a macbook and have never been happier :)</p>
<p>go online to the computer store, look up the computers you’re interested in (you’ll need to log in to do this), and compare prices.</p>
<p>the UCLA store don’t seem to have too great of a deal nowadays, so you might have a better chance finding a better laptop on sale at the retail stores… as for dells I know a lot of people having problems with them because they break down real easy…</p>
<p>if you want a mac, definitely give the UCLA store a look. PC computers, not so much. you can find great deals online. dell typically has large coupon codes that you can find on many deal websites.</p>
