UCLA CSE or UCSB CCS Computing w/ Regents

I’m trying to choose between UCLA CSE and UCSB CCS Computing. Both are amazing programs and CCS seems to offer me much more freedom and opportunities individually both in research and internships. However, UCLA is much more prestigious, has a much larger alumni connection base, and has potentially much more rigorous courses for preparation.

Which should I go for?

Go where you will be happy. A couple of years after you graduate, no one will care where you went to school. And as a UCLA MBA, I would not say that UCLA is “much more prestigious.” UCL isn’t clown for a strong alumni network. CCS sounds fabulous and Regents is free money. I would suggest you think about factors other than those you listed. Good luck, you have great choices!

Sorry for typos! iPhone,grr.
