UCLA Decision 2011

^^I think the date would point to today; as far as I know, they usually send them out on a weekday.

How do you access the decisions, whenever they come out?

[Admission Decisions - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Applicant/Decision/default.htm)

for what I hear, this website will open when the decision is ready, use your UC id and your birthdate to log in …

Last year the decision came out on 3/12/2010 Friday at around 5pm. So it is likely that decision comes out today for this year.

Just check the web page. When decision comes out, the web page will have instructions on how to login to check your deicision.

Good luck!

unless everyone tries to log in at the same time and crash the site …

Yeah, that happens every time. So be prepare for a long wait when trying to login to sign up for orientation (important to get earlier class enrollment), for housing decision (to find out where/who you will live), etc. UCLA does not bother to make a scalable web site (maybe no budget)

^ Unless I am reading it wrong, your e-mail suggests an admitee must make an immediate commitment to going to UCLA in order to get earlier class enrollment. Can this be true when lots of candidates will still be waiting to hear from other schools?

Just to confirm, is it 5 PM est or pst?

Pacific Standard

or 7PM CC time, hee hee hee

Sorry if my post was misleading. No, my post doesn’t mean that at all.

For all the colleges I know, SIR is always on May 1. So you have until then to decide.

When you get an acceptance, every college will give you a list of conidtions (make sure you satisfy them) and a list of next steps.

For UCLA, eventually after SIR, you will sign up for orientation and much later you will sign up and find out about housing. Every time, the UCLA web sites are so dead that people complain about not being able to get on for hours.

Every college is different so make sure you know their procedure. For example, last year, USC housing is first come first serve and you can sign up before SIR, all you lose is a small deposit if you decide not to go. Last year, you can sign up for orientation as soon as you SIR at UC Berkeley which will give you an eariler class enrollment time.

The bottom line is read the acceptance instructions carefully. Check around and find out all the info you can for every college you are considering.

Thanks for clarifying!

Thanks everyone for the info. I’ll be waiting anxiously for the next 3 days…

I hope it comes tonight. Anyhoo, good luck to everyone waiting! I applied for the School of Nursing. I’m trying not to think too much but I am. Gah. I should sign off the computer and take a nap.

I seriously hope the decisions come out tonight! I have been waiting for this day for so long and don’t want to have to wait any longer!

I’ve heard that UCLA and UCSD have typically notified on the same day in he past. I didn’t apply to UCLA but I did apply to UCSD. So I HOPPPEEEE decisions come out tonight! I’d die. Haha.

I hope decisions come out at 3:30PM. That would mean five more minutes.

if it comes out at 5, that means 15 more minutes…
i am anxiously waiting in front of my computer refreshing my e-mail and college confidential pages
i really have to distract myself, haha

Anybody get an email??? :(

no…
:/

DECISIONS ARE UP!

just go straight to the website :)
