Following one of the recent threads regarding the same topic, I submitted my SIR and what do ya know. Next day, I get an email from a Ms. Patillo (prob. an admin.) with this:

"We have received your recent inquiry concerning your admission. Based on your self-reported information, your eligibility will not be affected by these changes. However, your admission will not be final until official records have been received."

I'm assuming all's better now as long as I finish well? I dropped my Econ class with a 'W' mark about 2 weeks ago, saying that it would affect my GPA in a negative way if I receive a 'C'. Later that day, I received a phone call from UCLA regarding orientation, etc.

Did the rest of you guys receive the reply from your changes? I was nervous for an entire week. Now I can smile and study for the final peacefully.

All the guy asked was “Do you plan on going to the orientation?” And he gave the info. that it was between July- August. I’m assuming the sign ups are earlier. I was actually studying for finals when the phone rang so I was kind of confused for a moment.

The phone conversation regarded more on the general information such as housing, orientation, help #'s, URSA site, email, etc. So everything the guy stated is on the New Bruins site.

“Later that day, I received a phone call from UCLA regarding orientation, etc.”
I don’t think this can be used as a proof that you are safe though. Sometimes the communication between departments within a school can be very inefficient.

Two years ago, I was rescinded by UCI several days after they received my transcript. (About 7/15ish) More than A MONTH later, I received a letter with housing information about where I’m living on campus, my roommates, etc. That made me really sad.

Oh this wasn’t really about me 100 percent going in. They already mentioned I had to keep in track with the admission contract in order to “officially” go in. I was moreso asking whether people got a phone call already or not.
