ucla decisions!

For someone with the username newyorkmydreams, you sure are keen on going to Los Angeles.

Yayayayay engineering likely letter

Ascaris
Lived in ny for 6 years just so you know.

For those of you who made accounts on URSA, what did you identify yourself as: new UCLA student (including admitted applicants), UCLA applicant on the waitlisted, current UCLA student, or “I don’t have a UCLA identification number & am none of the above”??

I have a UC ID from applying so what do I click?

do they only send engineering likely letters?

I have inside info that the reason decisions weren’t released on Friday 3/9 was because we had an extra week of winter break (4 instead of 3), giving the admissions dept less time to process all of the applications. And decisions will be released in about a week.

^^ How accurate do you think your inside information is?

Apparently 3 years ago it was on a Wednesday… I don’t think there is any clear pattern… We just have to wait! :(

@petaandpita
thanks for the inside scoop haha.

@petaandpita winter break was 3 weeks before 2011? Is it not always 4 weeks?

Guys chill out. I used the position of the sun to calculate that decisions are coming out at 7:21:03 PM tomorrow.

HAHAHHAHAHAH!! good one :D

Yeah this year winter break was longer by a week. And I think my info is pretty reliable but it was implied, not directly stated, so don’t quote me on it/sue me if it doesn’t come out in a week. Good luck everybody!

transfer able to log into URSA, here.

^All applicants can log into URSA. It means absolutely nothing.

is engineering likely letter really accurate? can i count on getting into la if i have gotten my likely letter?

Over the years, it seems like nobody has gotten rejected after getting the letter. So people are saying it’s a 99% chance of acceptance to be safe.

Honestly, I’d take it as an unofficial acceptance, but I wouldn’t start bragging about it just yet.

What’s an “engineering likely letter?”

is there a letter for college of letters and science or does it only apply to engineering

It’s just for engineering.

@MexicanHybrid It’s an email to some engineering majors, inviting them to the Engineering Open House and Bruins Day. It’s generally been seen as an unofficial acceptance.
