guys...i have a question

i have been admitted to UCLA already...but i want to drop a summer course will this do any thing that may revoke my admission? since i called UCLA..they said they dont take summer courses toward transfer...so i assume that it's safe to drop a class in summer

internship at PR boutique, staff writer at cc's paper.
completing GE's in spring 2007

im thinking about not going to UCLA though, to rethink my major..is this a stupid idea?

For those that got in and stated that you've completed all your major preps, did you guys mean that you've completed all the major preps that your CCC had to offer ? Or did you guys go to other CCC to get them done?
Thanks!

Congratulations guys!

i got all that my ccc offered. a two-minute visit to assist.org, will give you the most valuable information ever.

yeah, assist.org is definitely the CCC bible.

I was just wondering if i should go to other CCCs to finish ALL of my major preps since my current CC only offers 4/6 that the UCs required.. so i wasn't sure if you guys meant DONE as in done with the ones your CC offered or DONE as in everything the UC required.

if you can, then you should because it will help you, and you have to take it eventually. it's a waste of time/money to be taking a class at UCLA where you could of taken it at a CCC.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to post these stats. They are a huge help to us who are going to transfer to UCLA next year.

Accepted
Biochemistry
Completed 75 units, enrolled in 11 units this semester
All pre-reqs done prior to this semester, except second semester Physics (not completing until summer; it was not a condition of acceptance to complete it, like it was for me at UCI; and O-Chem 2 (working on O-chem right now).)
Completed IGETC and TAP in two years
GPA 3.64
Science GPA 3.47
Got the only C in Calculus III :(
Many extracurriculars, decent essays, not stellar in my humble opinion :)
Any other questions, let me know.

Accepted

Major: English
GPA: 3.7+
TAP: No. I did take most of my major prerequisites as honors courses, but because I am an idiot I waited to enroll in TAP right when it was too late to do so.
IGETC: Will be completed by the end of the spring '07 semester.
Major Prerequisites: Will be completed by the end of the spring '07 semester.
Essays: Decent. They definitely weren't my best work, but they were pretty decent for having started writing them 5 days before the application was due and not having anyone look over them.
Work Experience: None (I only say this because several people have mentioned they have a lot of work experience).

3.499 GPA
Molecular Biology
IGETC Finished
60% of major pre requisites
No EC
Bad major preparation and potential contribute sections on the personal
statement but good part three.

UCD: accepted
UCSD: accepted
UCLA: rejected
UCB: Pending

^ u go to chabot?

oh, and I am in the process of completing all pre-reqs my school offers. For UCLA my bio series does not transfer over for Life science 2 and 4 only.

No, I don't attend chabot, what about you? It just says that on my profile. I was a little upset to get rejected to L.A but I don't feel that bad about it because I do not have all my major pre-requisites. It makes sense that people who took extra time to finish those should get in before me. I also heard that UCB and UCLA especially strict about those. Does anyone know anybody that got in without all there pre-reqs?
