<p>I’m ridiculously excited for UCLA. I’d have to visit Berkeley if admitted, but I’m really shooting for UCLA.</p>

<p>@ andj: yes, definitely! Do you have a preference? I love both, but personally I’m leaning to Berkeley. All my friends say I’m “SO Berkeley” lol. I’ve grown up in/near SF all my life, have friends/family nearby, and I do believe that UCB has a slightly stronger Psych program.</p>

<p>Plus, I want to teach a decal when I’m a senior, and that’s one of my biggest draws to UCB.</p>

<p>These past two weeks i’ve felt a stronger inclination towards Cal, just because i’ve lived in LA all my life and really need to get out of this bubble!</p>

<p>And from what i’ve read, I’ve always thought UCLA has the stronger Psych Program.</p>

<p>Where have you read that? I’m jw lol, not being skeptical. I know they’re both very close, but I do know that Cal’s is more exclusive:</p>

<p>18% acceptance rate for transfers (Psych) to UCB.
33% acceptance rate for transfers (Psych) to UCLA.</p>

<li>Cal’s Psych Grad school is ranked 2nd in the nation with MIT. Only Stanford’s is better.</li>
<li>I remember reading that Undergrad Psych is better at UCB on USNWR and the Gourman Report.</li>
</ul>

<p>Do you have stats on UCLA’s psych that trumps UCB’s? I’m jw because they’re both so close in my mind lol, and I’m looking for a legitimate reason to select one over the other by department.</p>

But it just seems that the competition for Sociology spots are very selective.</p>
