<p>@ andj: Yeah, I had seen that! Very true, that source does have UCLA ahead of UCB. However, every other source that I’ve read has indicated that UCB’s program is superior. I’m still pretty torn. I know for sure that both Psych departments are Top 10. </p>

<p>lol I would do the same for UCLA if I went there…and lately I’ve been very on the fence about this. If only I had one more little push. If only I knew one professor or had one last convincing piece of evidence that UCLA psych > UCB psych…I would go immediately.</p>

<p>Great question…especially because that’s exactly what my first prospective thread topic is in regard to. </p>
<p>I’m actually 100% sure that you can change your major as long as it’s within L&S. I’ve spoken to admissions reps at UCB, UCB students, UCB tourguides, UCB professors, my school counselors, called and asked, and asked on College Conf.</p>
<p>It’s one of the lesser known “tricks of the trade” per se at UCB. You can even switch into Econ.</p>
<p>The thing is this: You need to have a minimum GPA of a 3.2 in major prereqs (I have a 4.0 in my major prereqs) and you need to have them all done/IP when you declare the major. I’ll be doing my last one, Cultural Anthro, in the fall. Thus, I’ve verified through multiple sources that I won’t have any problems switching into psych.</p>
<p>Okay. the waiting has officially driven me to madness. I used to be a functional girl with so much life in me. Now, I am sad to say am a lifeless drone who stares deeply into space in the wee hours of the morning doing what… nothing other than thinking of UCLA. And so madness has driven me to this forum.</p>
