i’m with you both. i just hope we’ll still be able to get good basketball tickets considering people who already go to ucla can purchase them.

a couple friends of mine that go to ucla went to a basketball game wearing red shirts…the crowd started yelling “take that red shirt off!” they then proceeded to rip off their shirts to reveal painted blue and yellow chests. this fall is going to be amazing.

This subject is priority #1 for me when I go to orientation. I could care less about my class schedule. I am willing to simultaneously fight multiple people for basketball tickets, and I am not a good fighter.

all 18 basketball home games + 6 regular season home football games are $149.
there’s a lottery for the basketball season tickets.
the deadline to enter the lottery is July 14.
i’m assuming that they don’t start picking from the lottery until that date…
– to be clear, transfer students cannot yet enter the lottery (last year we were able to starting July 5 or 7 or something…). continuing students can, but (to my understanding) that doesn’t give them any advantage / priority –
if you don’t get picked in the lottery, they refund $100 and you automatically get football tickets. at that point, it’s possible to get basketball tickets on the day of the game on a first come first serve basis.
if you DO happen to get season tickets in the lottery, the floor tickets can be got by camping out the night before games, in front of the ticket vendor. you’re then assigned priority numbers to be redeemed for corresponding floor seats at the game.
