I am currently attending PCC in So. Cal. I plan to transfer to UCLA's HSSEAS and major in CS. I also want to get a business degree and pursue a MBA and possibly a masters in CS. Do I need an IGETC certification to get into UCLA then enter HSSEAS with the specialized prerequisites after UCLA supposedly takes me? Everything except a Biology unit is part of the HSSEAS GE requirements. In the HSSEAS req page for students already attending UCLA, they have a separate GE list. Does HSSEAS have a different set of requirements for transfer students?

Lastly, how should I go about getting an MBA? What is the best way to do this? Basically I already started in PCC and my end goal is mainly a BS in CS and a MBA with a possible masters in CS.

You should ask UCLA engineering directly whether IGETC is accepted.

Don’t worry about an MBA now. Study CS (or whatever other major you like), get good work experience after graduation, then decide whether you want to get an MBA. Good MBA schools prefer applicants with post-bachelor’s degree work experience.

Why don’t you get a BS first, work a few years then get an MBA. My daughter’s roommate is doing exactly that. Without experience it’s hard to get into a good MBA program.
