I’ve done chance threads in the past but I didn’t have subject test scores available.
4.0 UW

im assuming capped UC GPA since I took more than 8 semesters of honors/ap during soph/junior year
2030 SAT - 630 CR - 720 M - 680 W (will UC even see this? I hope so cause math is higher)
2040 SAT - 630 CR - 670 M (that -4 curve tho) - 740 W
30 ACT - 33 E - 30 M - 32 R - 26 S
Math Level 2: 760
Physics: 640 (only had 1 semester of physics under my belt)
7 APs/3 Honors in high school

I heard ECs don’t matter much for engineering but anyway:
-FBLA Vice President/Treasurer
-Baseball
etc…
Oh yeah my high school is mediocre performing…avg sat is like 1470 and only 25% of seniors are 4 year college bound. I don’t know if this matters.
Oof… those AP scores though… I wouldn’t report some of those. Keep in mind UCLA, as well as all UC’s only look at your highest SINGLE SITTING. You’re going to have to make a decision in regards to that. I wouldn’t send that physics SAT2 either. You’re HS shitiness might factor into your favor, but that also depends on the context of your personal life as well.
yeah i didn’t report my apush score and I have to report my physics score. It just sucks that UC won’t see the 720 math. Kind of a stupid system really.
Sorry man, but it doesn’t look great for you. Even if your school isn’t high performing well, those ap scores are not great. It’s good to take hard courses, but you want those 5’s. GPA is fine, but doesn’t show that much. It’s a stretch
I thought they didn’t look at ap scores for admissions, if they actually do then I’m screwed because i got two 1s.
They don’t look at AP scores for admissions. I don’t know why everyone here thinks that… Also, you have to report all scores to UCs anyway… Where is everybody getting this from, or am I missing a major point that you guys know about?
They say “good scores are a plus but bad AP scores definitely don’t hurt your application” I don’t know why everyone is trying to judge my decision based on a 2 in APSUH LOL.
They might look bad if you took class and aced it. Brings into question how hard the class was
The grading at my school is terrible in my opinion. Almost 50 people graduate each year with 4.0 GPAs but only 3 or so can even score a 2000 on the SAT. My school is really messed up.
