Any Engineering Transfers try the exploit/trick? News?

I’ve tried it. I accessed myucla today, so I’m still a summer sessions student. Hopefuly this will change tomorrow after the 3:00am update. I did not apply for fafsa, and I am unable to apply for housing.

Computer science engineering / 3.76 with prereqs done, good amount of ec and fair essay.

What about you?

Computer Science and Engineering
3.78, Prereqs done
I didn’t apply for fafsa either.

hahaha nice! You have a lead on me :]
Are you apply be to see your major / access the housing app?

aerospace engineering, 3.85 missing ONE pre req. what do you guys think? i was in the military and in my statement i mentioned that i was considered one of THE top aerospace technicians in the US. do you think that will help my chances?

I think that will GREATLY help your chances, navymike! I’m sure you will be accepted to either ucla or berkeley. Have you tried the ursa trick/exploit?

yes, I’ve checked URSA and myUCLA and all the indicators are a no-go. I’m just gonna wait till 5pm tonight to know for sure.

^ did you submit a fafsa?

yes, i submitted a fafsa. all the financial aid links on ursa say “You do not have a Financial Aid Summary for this Award Period.”

Hey, navymike, when you say the indicators are no-go, what do you mean specifically? Are you still a summer session student on myucla and your housing app says it is unsure of your enrollment status?

yes, every where i check it says I’m a summer student still. i didn’t apply for housing so I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be checking there. when i click on the housing link it just takes me to the application. all the financial aid links say that the info is unavailable or only accessible to admitted students who have submitted an SIR

Try submitting for a single undergraduate student and see what you get!
I’m really beginning to think we don’t need to start worrying just yet.
None of the engineers are getting any good signs so far.

i really don’t care that much for the early signs. i think if it hasn’t changed by now then i might as well wait till 5.

anyways, i think when we start getting decisions we should make an official UCLA engineering acceptance thread since engineering decisions can’t really be compared with other majors. or maybe just an official UC engineering acceptance thread in general

Do you mind if I ask the pre-reg for Electrical Engineering major ?

All Calculus + Linear Algbr + Differential Eq + 3 Physics + 1 Chem + 1 Programming course.

Anything else?

My GPA is just 3.73 and I do not have any good sign on the myucla app I still cannot log in to myucla

Mangochoko, you do realize you need to mess with the summer session stuff to actually log in to myucla, right? And, I don’t think any of the engineering majors can see their stuff yet! Don’t worry too much! Like many said before, if you don’t have the “signs” its not necessarily a bad thing. Seeing that a lot of qualified engineer applicants are still unable to see anything, I’m just gonna assume that we’re gonna be the last ones to be updated.

http://img.tapatalk.com/4c580310-bfaf-c1d3.jpg

This is what it shows when I try to go to myucla :(

Yeah, that’s actually completely normal. Those who are able to access myucla is able to do so because they enrolled into the summer session (but they did not enroll into any classes. Make sure you don’t enroll into any classes). You can still do this to access myucla if you want, but you probably won’t be able to see your major because it usually takes a day or two to change. By then, you will already know if you have gotten accepted or not.
Don’t worry, mango! :D

Also, if any other engineering students are reading this and can/cannot see the signs on myucla/ursa, it would be nice if you add to the discussion so we have a better idea of what’s going on.

How could I do the Summer enrollment in order to se myucla app?

Ursa -> view enrollment menu -> change the term to summer -> submit -> continue.

I think that was how it goes.
MAKE SURE YOU DON’T ENROLL INTO ANY CLASSES!
You’ll be fined $350.

After that, you’ll be able to access myucla within a couple of minutes.

guys check this out, I just came across this and is that supposed an error? I mean… wow.

computer science admit rate was 18.88% for 2010 Fall. Then in 2011, it dropped down to 7.99% admit rate…
