UCLA-entertainment law

I'm new to this site so I hope I'm posting this thread in the right forum. Currently I am a sophomore at FSU. It's always been a dream of mine to manage/represent talent, and I've heard from numerous websites/people that UCLA has the best entertainment law school/connections, but to the point. I was curious as to whether any one could give me any pointers on how I could better my chances for admission.. i.e ( when should I start preparing for the LSAT, Would a 3.7(ish) GPA management major be suffice, should I begin looking for internships?). In addition to that, FSU is a great school, but isn't a top tier school. Will that affect my chances?

Thank you

college confidential is a horrible place to ask for law school admissions advice. Don’t bother using the law school thread either. It’s useless and full of Debbie Downers who spend their day posting doomsday stories if you go to law school.

Use top-law-schools.com instead.

Law school, even more than Medical and MBA, is a numbers game. Keep raising that GPA and make sure you rock the LSAT.

According to [Top 2011 Law School Rankings](Law School Rankings)
your GPA is actually a little lower than the median (3.75) and the median LSAT is 168. Crazy I know, but there’s too much competition these days…(IMO that’s an awesome GPA)

Internship is obviously always good but you need the numbers for them to look at you. I’m sure you already know, but law graduates are having a tough time in the market right now…but hey in 5 years, I bet the economy will be back. (Hence why everyone and their mother is going for healthcare right now)

Also, I doubt your current school won’t have any bearing on your chances as long as your other stats are in line (especially the LSAT)

good luck

Thank you for the advice guys, I still have time to get my GPA up and prep for the LSAT so I have faith.
