<p>To all the new admits, when you checked your admissions status via <a href="https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Decision/%5B/url%5D"&gt;https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Decision/&lt;/a>, there was also an 'Events' tab.<br>
What events were you informed about? Are you going?</p>

<p>I'm just wondering if everyone was invited to the same events, or were certain students selected for different events.</p>

<p>PILOT day. On the fence about going. Need to see when Cal’s transfer day thing is, if they have one.</p>

<p>in admissions letter. i got the pilot invitation too. I thought it was an event for every transfer tho? what the heck</p>

<p>It doesn’t mention to me that it’s major specific. I thought it was the generic event cause its “Preparation in the Life of a Transfer” Day.</p>

<p>I think the events are based on your location. I got an invite to the Bay Area Transfer Reception on May 11th in Oakland, but no invite to PILOT day.</p>

<p>For those of you who didn’t receive info about pilot day, did you get any other event invites?</p>

<p>hmmm, this is interesting. It seems everyone has an invite to something on May 11th, but they are all different events. </p>

<p>I wonder why they did that, and how they classified different people for different events.</p>

<p>I am so disappointed. I got one for the Oakland event but I can’t make it because of class. Ours is just in the morning. I could potentially take a flight and go to the one in LA for at least part of the time. I wonder…if I call them, do you think they might let me? I know I’m not technically invited… :(</p>

<p>so, i actually bothered to read the events and realized that i wasn’t invited to PILOT day because i was invited instead to that MECHA thing, which is the same thing and on the same day as PILOT day except it’s only for people who identify as latino/hispanic. i hope we get mexican food at this event.</p>

<p>@mmsiphone. Yeah, use the link I provided (first comment in post), log in, then on the left side of the screen there are several tabs, one says events</p>

Chicano MECCA event
Oakland event
Pilot Event
and Scholars event that people are mentioning </p>

<p>I don;t know if they are all at the same time, or not.</p>
