@HeyItsNick So did i. But for me it was because I had applied there last year and included a cc that I didnt include this year. So they found out and emailed me to send them a transcript. It was a cc that I took 1 class at in high school, but I took the same exact class last year at a different cc so I thought I didnt have to include it.
If anyones European studies or knows someone who’s majoring in that tell meeeee. They have around 10ish applicants each year so I know it’s a stretch haha
Does anyone know when UCLA will email transfer students about Regents?
Ooh that major seems super cool!
My Stats Are:
Major Prep GPA: 4.0
UC Transfer GPA: 3.91
I basically just have one more class to complete for transfer (Cultural Anthro)
I did a couple internships but I mostly wrote about being an intern for a non profit that funds schools in India for kids in need. I talked about also going to India with this company and helping the development of these schools on the ground. I also talked about my deep interests in acting and Fashion Design and how I’ve persued them over the past couple of years.
What about you? I’m so excited to hear about if we get in
@bksyazd Hey! Good to hear back haha. I’m also taking cultural anthro! Alongside European history and econ… but after those I will have everything completed! Your stats look stellar btw, cant say the same bout myself.
Overall GPA, 3.4 ish (dam ochem)
Major GPA, 4.0
My essays are literally old ones i reused and I dont have any extracurriculars that connects to my major your major reqs are all required tho. Mine just says 1 yr of lang and 2 courses to be considered, but i thought I should take all the suggested courses cause my GPA is low. Also the acceptance rates for European studies is insane and makes no sense to me. One year it’s around 3.1-3.3, and for 2018 it’s around 3.8-3.9? lol.
@ohm888 Why? They didnt say anything wrong lol
@Princetonian9 See your #172 and #194. Perhaps you are not remembering. Negative comments directed at others, especially when an account is set up for that purpose (or has only that one post) will get a warning.

@hwalters6 are you at a community college in LA or Nevada County? You mention internships at both. Just curious. We live not that far from Nevada City in Placer County where my daughter attends CC.
@sugarcane1 I graduated from high school in Nevada County! Moved to Los Angeles County to go to Pasadena City College.

UCLA is my dream school… the most thing I concern about is that I skipped Calculus 1 in my community college because of my AP credit, so I started from Calculus 2 and finished all the subsequent math courses ( Multivariable Calc (Calc 3), Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Discrete Math ( in progress, not a major prep for none of the schools… I am just taking this for fun)) UCLA only accepts a score of 5 on AP Calculus AB exam, so I spoke with 5 UCLA admission officers and an officer from the Math department about this issue. They all told me I don’t need to take Calc 1, since my subsequent math courses taken will validate. The other UC campuses accept my AP credit as Cal 1.
@hodol2006 I think you have high chances haha. Your GPA is obviously on the higher end and you have all the major prep. I’d have high and firm expectations, but then again college admissions can be kinda random for any reason… but anyways very good outlook, a lot better than mine!
@8CLAP4SUP UCLA doesn’t notify regents ahead of time. Those selected will have it noted when getting admitted on the portal
@hodol2006
Seems like you have a very high chance of getting in! Since statistics isn’t an impact major, it’s relatively easy to get into unlike other majors so you should be fine. I have seen one of my friends that got into UCLA as a stats major last year with a 3.7 GPA and one missing prereqs. Best of luck to you
I’m a Domestic Applicant with 64 lower division units from a CCC and about 100-something lower Division units from a foreign institution prior to US coursework. Anyone here who is in the same boat? Or atleast knows something about how would that work out?
Will updates to the TAU be seen by schools at this point? I got my Winter Intersession grades back and it raises my gpa by a super small amount.
